Architecture for Liquid Handling Platform

Architectural consulting for a new platform for liquid handling automation in research laboratories.

The platform was to include cloud connectivity for the devices, integration into third-party systems, and cross-device integration of processes. To this end, a requirements analysis was carried out based on user surveys, and I assisted in deriving the stakeholder and system requirements, among other things.

Based on these requirements, I was then able to develop basic architectural concepts together with the stakeholders and hardware architects. In addition, an analysis of purchase options for some devices and components was carried out, to which I also contributed the software perspective.
